2 feared killed in Ibadan as #EndSARS protest continues

At least, two people were feared killed in Oojo area of Ibadan as hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protest reportedly attacked the Ojoo Police Station on Tuesday.  

Report had it that the police opened fire to repel the hoodlums who attacked the police station.

According to eyewitnesses confusion sets in when the protesters started throwing stones, bottles and other dangerous objects at the police station. This was followed by sporadic gunshots lasting about an hour with people scampering for safety.

The hoodlums were said to have burnt down the police station following the reported killing of two persons. 

The Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the attack on the police station, said the command would give details on the incidents after investigation were concluded.

Fadeyi said, “Disgruntled elements/ miscreants attacked Ojo Police Station in the name of protest. Details will come later.”

Some hoodlums were seen extorting motorists, especially commercial operators.
