The Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan came under tight security on Wednesday with the armed squad of the NCS and men of the Operation Burst manning the facility.

The centre was secured against possible attack by hoodlums following a clash, on Tuesday between some angry motorcyclists and warders at the Agodi Gate area of the city.

It will be recalled that some angry youths attacked the Idi Ogungun Police Outstation and another police station opposite the correctional centre after the reported shooting of a motorcyclist during a fight between some officials of the NCS and okada riders in the area.

It was learnt that some hoodlums were repelled by security operatives while attempting to take the advantage to break into the Correctional facility on Tuesday.

While filing this report, efforts made to reach the spokesman of the NCS, Oyo State Command, Mr. Olanrewaju Anjorin, were abortive as calls made to his telephone line were not picked.

Anjorin also did not respond to text message sent to him by our correspondent.
