According to the Balogun of Alabata, Chief Rasaq Ajimoti, a middle aged man, identified as Toheeb Ako, and others at large raped one Mary Daramola.

The chief said the suspects were exposed by a passerby who raised an alarm when he saw Toheeb and his gangs trying to dump Mary’s body in a nearby bush.

Toheeb was said to have been arrested and taken to Moniya Police Station.

Mrs Folakemi Adedeji, Mary’s guardian, lamented the incident saying justice must prevail in the case.

The Baale of Alabata, Chief Olakanmi Olaniyan, appealed to the youths in the area to be calm and let justice take its course in the matter.

It was learnt that the suspect is currently cooling his heels at the Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan.

As of the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command,  Olugbenga Fadeyi, could not be reached for reaction on the incident.
