The Oyo State Government has begun the recruitment exercise for Operation Amotekun.
The Western Nigeria Security Network, an initiative that was positioned to complement the efforts of the security agencies in the six South-West states, was codenamed Amotekun.
The initiative was created on January 9, 2020 in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital by the governments of the six states in collaboration with the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria.
