At the sitting on Tuesday, the House expressed concern on the havoc of flooding in parts of the state and called for  pro-active measures to forestall similar experience in the future.

The Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, said the committee should ascertain the plan of the councils on dredging of waterways and drainage clearing to ensure free flow of water.

They also directed the House Committee on Works and Transport to meet with relevant government agencies on possible ways of flood control in affected areas.
