The eight month old strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities has been suspended.
It was gathered that the decision was taken at the end of the National Executive Council meeting held at the ASUU secretariat in Abuja, on Thursday.
A source within the NEC of the academic union was quoted to have said, “It has been called off.
“The president (of ASUU) will release an official circular in the morning.”
