Breaking: Court slams N200,000 fine on Fani-Kayode for having bed rest on court date

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, to pay a fine of N200,000 for being absent from court.

Fani-Kayode was scheduled to appear in court for his re-arraignment, on Wednesday.

However, the former minister was said to have failed to appear in court on the excuse that he was having a bed rest.

The court had asked counsel to Fani-Kayode, F. Ajudua, to choose between revoking the bail of the second defendant or paying the fine.
