There was shock wave in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Sunday as news of the death of Rev Gomba Oyor, an Ibadan-based deliverance minister filtered in.

Rev. Oyor was the General Overseer of the God-Will-Do-It-Ministries, with headquarters in Ibadan.

Among other programmes, the man of God who just celebrated his last birthday on July 18, is popular for his mentoring programme on Facebook tagged, ’30-minutes with Dr GF. Oyor,’ anchored by Faith Owolabi.

Although information about his death was very sketchy as of the time of filing this report, Christian faithful and groups across churches have begun to react to news of his death.

Evangelist Oguazi Onyemobi, National President, Students Christian Movement of Nigeria, wrote on the clerics Facebook page, “Our dear spiritual father, brother, mentor, God’s General, Rev. Dr. Gomba Fortune Oyor, has transcended to eternal glory.

“We in the SCM family are shocked at your sudden exit. We celebrate with heavenly joy the erudite life you lived and the revival fire you kindled in our great Movement and everywhere you went.

“Your ardent faith in God’s word was audacious. Your fervor in spiritual warfare was auspicious. You were a pacesetter, barrier breaker and demon demobilizer. You traversed the entire globe with your positive ‘God-Will-Do-It’ message of hope.

“Your ministry imparted very many lives and brought testimonies of joy to many families. You taught us how to believe God for great things, and see Him fulfill them. You demonstrated God’s power with ease, and your ministry was backed with miracles and signs.

“Yet, you stayed humble, loving and compassionate. We did not expect this to happen so soon, but we submit absolutely to the sovereign will of the Almighty. Farewell, dear brother, till we all meet again in the presence of our Master, Saviour and King, Jesus Christ.”

Prince Emmanuel Kuyoro wrote, “Breaking: Rev. Gomba Oyor has gone to be with the Lord. General Overseer of God-Will-Do-It Ministries, Bodija, Ibadan, an Apostle of faith and unity of the body of Christ. Rest in peace Sir.”

The clergyman was an author and Evangelist with a mandate to spread the healing and deliverance power of God around the world.

Topics of his recent online sermons include, ‘They shall proceed no further,’ and ‘Principles of enjoying without struggle, parts 1 and 2.’

Among his close associates is Rev. Moses Aransiola, President, Gethsemane Prayer Ministries with headquarters at Eleyele, Ibadan.
