President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, directed members of the Federal Executive Council seeking elective positions in 2023 to resign on or before Monday.
Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, made the announcement while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the federal council meeting presided over by Buhari at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Mohammed said that the ministers was given up till May 16, 2023, to quit.
Among others, Rotimi Amaechi (Transportation), Chris Ngige (Labour), Abubakar Malami (Justice), Godswill Akpabio (Niger Delta), Emeka Nwajuiba (Junior Education Minsiter), are seeking elective positions.
