Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has formally handed over the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress to Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the newly elected National Chairman of the party.
Buni was Chairman, APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, for about 21 months before handing over to the newly elected national chairman.
Adamu assumed leadership of the party after a brief ceremony held at the National Working Committee Hall, National Secretariat of the party in Abuja with the newly elected executive members and the Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule, in attendance.
Adamu, who stormed the premises of the Buhari House National Secretariat of the party at about 11:30 am alongside members of the NWC, was received by a waiting crowd of supporters.
He went into a meeting immediately after his arrival.
