Sunday, July 17, 2022, was a special day to appreciate and worship God for Prophet Richard Kolawole, his wife, Prophetess Chris; and the entire congregation of CAC Arogungbogunmi International as they rolled out the drum to celebrate the 26th anniversary celebration of the church.
The anniversary, themed, ‘The anointing to break all evil records,’ garnered together worshippers from 14 branches of the church, including Cotonou, Republic of Benin, just as it attracted the leadership of the CAC Worldwide, led by its President, Pastor Henry Ojo.
Pastor Ojo, while delivering a sermon on ‘Anointing to break all evil record,’ warned worshippers of Christ against the cost of swaying away from the presence of God. Relating his sermon to Colossians, Chapter 1, verse 12 to 19, he said, “What many are facing today is as a result of what people dipped their hands into.
“God has shown you the way to be librated. Don’t further put yourself into bondage. The name of Jesus is enough for you. Jesus Christ said that the spirit of the Lord is upon me to preach the gospel to the poor. The problem we have as believers is that we put ourselves into captivity.
“Satan can write different stories about you but God says that my thought for you are the thought of good and not of evil to give you an expected end. I want you to know that you can be in Nigeria and become great while some people run to Canada or United States. God will change your story.”
While addressing journalists at the precinct of the anniversary, Ojo said, “As we are drawing close to the general election, we should pray for a man after God’s heart as president. In the same vein, I want to appeal to Nigerians to be more prayerful on the issue of insecurity. We had passed through worse situation than this in Nigeria before but through prayers, God gave the country victory. With prayer, everything is possible.
“The Federal Government had explored different means but to no avail. However, with God, everything shall be alright.”
On Muslim-Muslim ticket by the ruling party, he said, “Naturally, the choice of Muslim-Muslim ticket is not palatable with the condition we find ourselves in Nigeria today because Nigerians no longer believe in the unity of this country anymore. Religion and tribe have divided us. I believe that since we have two major religions in Nigeria, they should consider Christians.
“But, the choice is ours. We should have PVC. We know (parties) that have Christian-Muslim ticket. After we have prayed for the will of God to be done, the choice is ours. Nigerians are the ones who will decide who will be there (as leaders). There is no need to argue or fight. The more we fight, the more enmity we cause.”
While speaking on the state of the nation, Prophet Kolawole, said, “My message for Nigerians is that we should pray very fervently because Nigeria is at crossroads. Nigeria is in a state of confusion. What we need now is to pray that God should give us direction, not for a party and not for a candidate. The people should ask God about what to do next.
“We said that it is the turn of the South to govern but the North also came in. When we sorted the issue of Southern president, the Muslim-Muslim ticket cropped up. We need divine direction on what next. This is a secular nation, with the strife being created as a result of religion, we need Christian-Muslim ticket.”
While relaying the journey so far in ministry, Kolawole recalled that the CAC Arogungbogunmi, which is located within a Muslim dominated community, started from a room and parlour apartment and grew bigger. He said, “We give glory to God for His marvelous doing. The CAC Arogungbogunmi is not a one branch church; we have at least 14 branches all over Nigeria and even abroad. We thank God that the ministry is marching forward.
“We see the grace of God. The ministry is in a Muslim community and our members are converts. People are accepting Christ; we see the grace of God over many people.”
