The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oyo State Command Agro Ranger Team, on Monday, arrested three Fulani men at Kara Market, in Ogbomoso for cow theft.
The suspected cow thieves are Aliu Beidu, 20, from Niger State; Buba Bello, 25, and Shatari Buba, 20, both from Kwara State, were said to have stolen two cows belonging to one Mohammed Bello.
The stolen cows were valued at N500,000
Iskilu Akinsanya, Commandant, NSCDC, Oyo State Command, while parading the suspects on Monday, said Beidu, who resides at Bolorundoro Village in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, invited Bello and Shatari from Kwara State for stealing.
He said, “They were arrested around 2am on Wednesday 22 by the NSCDC Agro Ranger in Ogbomosho.
“The suspects will be arraigned in court after the conclusion of the investigation. Though the suspects confessed to have committed the offence and pleaded for mercy.”
The NSCDC boss warned criminal elements in the state to desist from illegality or face full wrath of law.
