The Pastor-in-charge, Gethsemane Prayer Ministries, Victory Chapel, Mosafejo, Ibadan, Taiwo Durosaro, has cautioned Christians against living in fear as a result of the effects of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic, saying only God can save.
According to the cleric, fear is an enemy to the children of God and a lifestyle of fear is a pattern that is repulsive and unacceptable to God, the father.
For the clergyman, God as the Almighty is more than able to deliver and to save. Living in fear implies that man does not trust God to lift him up from state of hopelessness.
The man of God, while charging the congregation on the need to recover from the period of lockdown to work openly for God, on Sunday, stated that “All Christians must be alive to the service of God.
“COVID-19 has taught us that God is ultimate and without Him, we are nothing.
“The most important thing for mankind, especially at this critical period, is God. Anything that has to do with God should be most important to us as human beings.
“I was surprised while watching the convention of RCCG recently. Just a few people were there in keeping with the COVID-19 protocols. But normally, no fewer than 5million people from across the world would gather for the convention. What this is telling us is that God is the ultimate.
“In Jesus name, COVID-19 has expired, but you must take all the precautions as laid down, keep to the measures but don’t live in fear of the disease anymore and you will be triumphant.”
