President and Coordinating Director, Esan4Esan Global Support League, Lagos, Nigeria, and State of New Jersey, USA, Dr. Elizabeth Okoruwa Okojie a.k.a Dr. Ojugo, has canvassed for unity for Esanland’s Prosperity in the interest of the people.

Okojie spoke in a personally signed statement titled, ‘Unifying for Esaland’s prosperity: A call to action,’ dated September 21, where she made a case for decisive action.

The statement quoted Okojie as saying, “Today, September 21, 2024 marks a pivotal moment for Esanland as the gubernatorial election unfolds. As the electorate exercises its power, we’re reminded that our collective focus transcends party lines – the prosperity of Esanland as a people and nation.

“The campaign trail has been marred by divisive rhetoric and denigration, but it’s time to put aside differences and unite. We must re-gear our thinking and take charge of our destiny. The last few weeks have seen utter disaffection, but it’s crucial to look toward a brighter horizon for a new Esanland and, by extension, Edo.”

In the call to action, she advocated for strategic unity, saying, “Our sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, must come together to share strategies, work plans, and ideas to shape a new Esanland.”

Harping on the need to break spiritual strongholds, she added, “We must confront and break the spiritual shackles looming over Esanland, seeking balance between the physical and spiritual realms.

“Our ultimate goal is Esan’s victory, aligning with the singular party of Esan united for prosperity and development.

“As children of the same ancestral heritage, we pray for peace, standing against forces of wickedness and darkness. May God’s light blindfold those who peddle sorrow and evil.”

Alluding to Biblical account, she stated, “If the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3). This echoes our need for unity and collective action.

“As we move forward, let’s remember that our true strength lies in our shared identity and vision for Esanland’s prosperity. God bless Esanland, Edo State, and Nigeria.

“I invite all Esans, both at home and in the diaspora, to join the Esan4Esan Global Support League, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Esan unity and development. Together, we can make a difference.
