Biola Ebila, a notorious and wanted gang leader, has been reportedly murdered in Ibadan, on Sunday.

Ebila was said to have been killed in a clash at Olomi area of the city. A team of police had since been dispatched to the area to put the situation under control.  The gangster had been declared wanted by the Police for his alleged involvement in the murder of a rival gang leader, Ekugbemi, in May.

The residents of the area had been living under the fear of possible reprisal since May.

When called to confirm the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, said information was sketchy at the time.

He added, “Our men had been dispatched to the area to investigate the incident. When properly briefed, we shall give a detailed account of what actually happened. For now, I cannot tell you much.”
