Eruobodo mourns Agbekoya founder’s death

The National Coordinator, Agbekoya Warrior Worldwide,
Chief Kunle Adelakun (Eruobodo), has lamented the passage of the founder and President of Agbekoya Warrior, High Chief Olalere Ayalu. 

The late Yoruba warrior reportedly died on June 25 at age 117.

He was buried on Saturday at his Irefin residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. 

A statement made by Adelakun on Ayalu’s death read in parts, “This is to announce the passing away of the founding father of Agbekoya, our father, leader and Agbekoya Warrior President, High Chief Olalere Ayalu, on 25th June, 2022.

“We urge every member (of Agbekoya) to observe a minute silence on his departure. Baba Ayalu died at a ripe age of 117 years.

“He has returned to his ancestors. May his soul rest in peace, amen.The burial took place at his residence, Irefin area, Ibadan.”
