The Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has formally declared his intention to contest for president on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Fayemi announced his aspiration on Wednesday in Abuja.
If voted as president, Fayemi promised to give priority attention to youth empowerment.
Also, he pledged to “retool the Armed Forces and security agencies.”
According to him, he would decentralise the government for it to be closer to the people.
He assured other aspirants that “I will adhere to the highest standards of decorum and decency.”
