Traders and sympathizers at the Balogun Market, Lagos Island, were said to have gone wild with emotion on Thursday morning as the popular market reportedly went up in flames.
The cause of the inferno, however, could not be determined as of the time of filing this report. It was learn that the fire fighters made spirited efforts to quell the fire.
The affected traders were said to have bemoaned their fate as the fire went wild.
Goods worth several millions of naira were reported to have been burnt to ashes in the incident.
