A commercial farmer called Wole Agboola has been reportedly kidnapped by some gunmen while working on his farm at Abaodo Area, Olukitibi Village, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Oyo Reporters learnt that Agboola was kidnapped and taken to an unknown destination following an attack on his farm on Monday.

His abductors, numbering about six, wearing army uniforms, reportedly invaded the farm that is situated near the Kola Daisi University, Ibadan-Oyo Expressway.

The hoodlums, armed with brandished guns and cutlasses, were reported to have assaulted Agboola’s workers, including his farm guard.

Some of the workers are currently said to be missing as of the time of filing this report.

A source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said apart from reporting the case at the Moniya Police Station, family members also solicited the assistance of the Amotekun Corp.

However, the abductors have yet to reach out to family members on the terms of Agboola’s release.

The police have not confirmed the incident. The Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, have yet to respond to the text and WhatsApp messages sent to him as of press time.
