AKINWALE ABOLUWADE
Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently freed from custody after a highly publicised dispute with the airline, has lamented that she is still in pain from the experience.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Wednesday, Emmanson, popularly known online as #soft_commy, thanked her supporters but explained that she needs medical care before sharing her full account of the incident.
“I’ve been released from prison, but I’m still in pain due to how I was treated,” she wrote.
Emmanson added, “I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give my own version of events. Thank you so much, my lovely friends and supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. God bless you all.”
The events leading to her arrest remain a matter of public discussion.
Ibom Air, in an earlier statement, acknowledged a customer service incident and said it was addressing the matter internally, stressing that passenger and staff welfare remain a priority.
Emmanson’s post has generated thousands of reactions, with many calling for an investigation into her treatment while in custody. Her detailed statement is expected once she has recovered.
