The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the governorship election in Anambra State as inconclusive.
There was jubilation in the camp of the All Progressive Grand Alliance as its candidate, Prof. Charles Soludo, leads with over 99,000 votes.
Prof. Florence Obi, the Returning Officer of the Anambra State governorship election, said that a supplementary poll would hold in 362 polling units in Ihiala Local Government Area on November 9.
Obi explained that election did not take place in Ihiala because there were reports of insecurity in the area.
As a result of this, and in line with the constitution, she said that election should take place in the remaining polling units for the election to be conclusive.
Soludo is currently leading with a total vote of 103, 946.
