The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted on Thursday, April 10.
In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin announced that candidates can check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used during registration.
The mock UTME, which is optional, serves to test new features introduced by the board and to help candidates become familiar with the computer-based testing format ahead of the main UTME.
According to JAMB, 200,115 candidates initially registered for the exam, but two later withdrew, leaving 200,113 confirmed candidates. Of these, 73,844 were absent on the day of the exam, while 88 others failed biometric verification.
A total of 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the mock examination. Results for 115,735 of them have been released, while the remaining 10,446 results are still being processed.
JAMB acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the mock exam and apologized for the inconvenience, attributing the disruptions to new features being tested for the main examination.
The board emphasized that the mock UTME remains a critical component of its strategy to refine the examination process and better prepare candidates.
“This mock exam allows JAMB to identify and resolve potential challenges ahead of the main UTME, while also giving candidates valuable exposure to the CBT environment,” the statement noted.
