Evangelists were trained on preaching of the good news of God’s kingdom.

There was excitement and glamour as the attendees, donning gorgeous attires, explored the state of art edifice described as a beauty to behold.

The event was held at the Fatumo Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Saturday, September 7.

After the memorable tour of the facility, the guests took their seats at the well – arranged auditorium before the program commenced at 12.35pm .

In his dedication talk, the Representative of the Nigeria Branch Office of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mr Lars Alm declared that the
beautiful facilities are meant to build people with fire resistant materials.

According to him, ” our goal is for the people to be trained in the facilities to be beautiful in the spiritual sense; to be beautiful in God’s eyes.”

Also, the Regional Spokesperson of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Professor Gill Adekannbi gave a vivid picture on the purpose of the newly dedicated Ibadan Bible Education Center built to fill the growing need in the preaching field.

Speaking further on the improved learning environment for students and instructors, the Regional Spokesperson said that the Bible Education Centre which now hosts both the School for Kingdom Evangelisers (SKE) and the School for Circuit Overseers and Their Wives ( SCOTW) was conceived in 2018.

He said, “The schools held at the facilities mold the personality of God’s servants who are educated there. Through the school curriculum, they are trained to be more compassionate and understanding in their interactions with family members, fellow servants of God, and neighbors who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“The goal is to help them become more Christ-like. The Bible serves as the primary textbook. In a sense, the students embark on a spiritual journey with Jehovah. As a result, they become more skilled in handling God’s Word as preachers and teachers.

“In a world facing economic hardship and other challenges, people yearn for comfort and genuine hope. The Ibadan Bible Education Center provides the training necessary to fulfill this need.”

The ‘History of the Kingdom Work in Ibadan and Construction Project and Experiences’ thrilled the over two thousand attendants.
