On Tuesday, the 4th of August, 2020, Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon, was devastated by the detonation of 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate stored unsafely at the port for six years.

Dele Aina.

The massive blast has left some 220 deaths, hundreds missing, damaged several buildings and cars, leaving more than 200,000 people homeless or living in homes with no windows or doors.

Lebanon was ravaged by a Civil War that lasted for 15 years, between 1975-1990, and the country has really never known true PEACE since then.

Six days after the unfortunate blast, amidst three straight days of sustained protests, the entire Lebanese Government: Prime Minister and Cabinet members, resigned! That’s probably unprecedented in the entire world. Wonderful!

Back home to Nigeria, I’m sure that more than 220 people have been killed in Kaduna alone this year, not to mention the several thousands that have perished needlessly all over the country.

What saith Genesis 27:40, “By your sword you shall live, and you shall serve your brother; And it shall come to pass, when you become RESTLESS, that you shall BREAK his YOKE from your neck.”

Isaiah 10:27, “It shall come to pass in that day that his BURDEN will be taken away from your  shoulder, and his YOKE from your neck, and the YOKE will be DESTROYED because of the  ANOINTING…”

I believe in both scriptures – a lot of ANOINTING and a bit of RESTLESSNESS are NEEDED to break yokes! I believe that, with PRAYERS and sustained PEACEFUL PROTESTS, we can also bring corruption and wickedness and ineptitude in Nigeria’s Leadership to an abrupt end.

JESUS said, ‘Watch and Pray”, not pray, pray, pray!

Leadership in Nigeria will sit up, or possibly ‘step aside’, when all religious leaders, Christians and Moslems, churches and mosques, CEOs and MDs, school owners, bankers and artisans, team up as ONE, and speak with ONE VOICE, and PROTEST against the sleaze in Abuja, Aso Rock, the National Assembly, the House of Representatives, NDDC, NCDC, NNPC, EFCC, ICPC, and all the Corrupt ‘Cs’ that put NIGERIA and NIGERIANS in perpetual bondage.

This Government too can end/go/resign in one day!A Word is Enough for the Wise!’Abeg, make I come dey go jare!
