The event brought together distinguished old boys, elders, spouses, children and friends of the association, marking a moment of reflection on the outgoing year and renewed commitment to the ideals of Loyola College.

In a goodwill message to the branch, the Global President of LOCOBA, Mr Gbenga Biobaku, described the Ibadan Branch as occupying “a very special place in the life of our Association,” commending members for their resilience, camaraderie and unwavering support for the college.

Biobaku praised the branch’s visible and behind-the-scenes contributions, noting that they have strengthened the association and reinforced the bonds of brotherhood among old boys.

He expressed confidence that the Ibadan Branch would continue to play a pivotal role in advancing LOCOBA’s vision, particularly in deepening institutional structures and pursuing sustainable initiatives for the benefit of Loyola College and future generations of students.

He wished members a joyful celebration and a new year filled with peace, good health, prosperity and greater opportunities for service and unity.

Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman of the LOCOBA Ibadan branch, Engr. Babatunde Adedeji Ogunpaimo, warmly received members and their families on behalf of the Executive Committee, describing their turnout as a reflection of the strong bond and enduring brotherhood within the association.

Engr. Ogunpaimo said the Christmas season provides an opportunity for gratitude, reflection and renewal, while reminding members of the values instilled by Loyola College, including discipline, service, excellence and unity.

He appreciated members, spouses, donors, sponsors and other stakeholders for their continued support and contributions to the success of the celebration.

“As we celebrate, let us renew our commitment to love one another, support the growth of our branch and uphold the good name of our alma mater,” he said.

The chairman wished members a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous and fulfilling New Year 2026, urging all present to enjoy the fellowship and festive atmosphere.

The event ended on a note of camaraderie, echoing the association’s traditional refrain: “Loyola College Boys… we part to meet again.”

Engineer Paimo expressed gratitude to the organizing committee members, including Kola Sanni, Chief Executive Officer, Koltol Hotels; and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Association Dr. BGK Ajayi, who is also the CEO of Ojulowo Hospital for their consistent support to the branch and members.
