Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has lamented the death of Alhaja Fatimo Badrudeen, Chief Registrar of the state High Court of Justice.
Governor Makinde, who described her death as a rude shock, stated that her exit had created a huge vacuum in the Judicial Arm of government.
According to him, the deceased was vivacious and hardworking.
The governor, who commiserated with the state Chief Judge, Justice Munta Abimbola, the judiciary, as well as the family members of the late Badrudeen, prayed that God grants repose to the soul of the deceased.
He said, “The news of the death of Alhaja Fatimo Badrudeen is saddening. It is a sad loss to Oyo State and a great blow to the judiciary, where her vivacious and hardworking nature showed all through her career.
“It is my prayer that God will uphold everyone she left behind.”
The deceased, who was called to the Bar in 1993, started her legal career at the same period, before joining the lower bench of the Oyo State Judiciary as magistrate.
She rose to become Chief Magistrate (Administration) before rising to the post of the Chief Registrar of the High Court.
