The traders gave kudos while receiving Sallah palliatives from the senator.

The gifts were distributed in fulfilment of his pledge to regularly support the traders and to ensure that they operate within a conducive atmosphere.

Bodija market, Bodija Plank market, Sango market, Bode market, Scout Camp market, Ajebo-Old NITEL market and Gege market were visited among other markets in Ibadan.

Alhaji Sumaila Jimoh, Babaloja of Bodija market and Babaloja-General of Oyo State, lauded Alli for reaching out to them.

According to him, the lawmaker had been known to be a forthright politician and a promise keeper long before he became a senator.

Jimoh said, “I know Alli to be a good man, a promise keeper and a forthright politician. His electoral victory was divine and we pray he has a successful tenure of office.”

Chief Olanrewaju Tewogbade, the Babaloja of Scout Camp Market, expressed his gratitude to God that Alli did not let the electorate down.

Noting that the senator was on the right path of fulfilling his electoral promises, Tewogbade said that he already got their confidence as a promise keeper.

He expressed their appreciation to the lawmaker on behalf of traders in the market.

Aderoju Adewale, Chairman, Bodija Plank Sellers, also described Alli as a great, dependable and forthright politician.

“Alli has been very reliable, sincere and forthright. We haven’t received such gesture from any government official in this market before.

“We haven’t seen anyone come here to give us foodstuffs or support like Alli. We pray that God bless him abundantly and grant all his heart desires,” he said.

The Babaloja-General of Sango Market, Alhaji Azeez Mustapha, prayed that God grants the lawmaker long life and good health.

He described him as a very good man, stressing that Alli had been very supportive to the traders even before he became a senator.

Ajoke Olayiwola, Secretary, Sango Market, said that Alli was very supportive to them.

Elder Salaudeen Oyakojo, the Babaloja of Bode Market, promised that the traders would not renege on their support to Senator Alli.

The Iyalaje of Bode Market, Monsurat Lasisi, also pledged the continued support of her members to Alli in recognition of his virtue as a promise keeper.

Sikiru Abimbola, the Youth Leader, Ajebo-NITEL Market at Molete, who spoke on behalf of the market president, said Alli had always been warm to them.

Alhaji Lekan Azeez, former Chairman, Bodija market, and Elder Sunday Akinpelu, the APC Chairman at the Bodija Plank Market, also promised their support for Alli.

Gbenga Elegbede, who represented the Senator, said that traders in markets in Ibadan and Ibarapa (within Oyo South Senatorial District) would have their Sallah palliatives. He delivered a new power generating set to Bode market borehole which he sank in the market.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, also commended the senator for reaching out to the Council during the recent Eid-el-Kabir.
