The motorcyclist was reported to have died immediately with two others sustaining seriously injuries.

Oyo Reporters learnt that the driver drove against the One Way rule. He rammed into an oncoming motorcycle and another vehicle.

The vehicle was said to be carrying kegs of vegetable oil.

Those at the scene of the accident tried to rush the motorcyclist to the hospital but he gave up the ghost before long.

Traffic gridlock trailed the incident along the Iwo Road- Idi Ape axis of the metropolis.

However, the Operation Burst team was drafted to the scene to restore normalcy.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safely Corps in Oyo State, Uche Chukwurah, confirmed the incident saying the commercial motorcyclist died as a result of the accident.

She said, “I am aware. Yes. It was fatal. One person died.”
