The Agro Ranger Squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Oyo State Command, has arrested a Welder, Bahiru Bello, for vandalising a transformer.
The 34-year-old man from Igbeti was reportedly arrested on the 26th of November in Ikoyi-Ile, Ogbomosho around 9am while trying to escape with some transformer cables.
According to the state Commandant of NSCDC, Mr Isikilu Akinsanya, Bello was apprehended by a team of the Agro Ranger Squad while trying to escape with the stolen cables.
Items recovered from the suspect at time of his arrest includes armoured cables, a rench, glove, hacksaw and a range.
The Commandant, who commended the residents of the state for their cooperation with the corps, said all hands must be on deck to curb crime and criminality. He assured the people of the state of full discharge of their duties as a credible security agency.
Akinsanya said the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
