Some aggrieved persons, on Wednesday, took to the streets in protest to demand for justice for Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos reportedly beaten to death by some students of the school recently.
The agitators converged on the gate of the school in a viral video asking that the Lagos State Government should withdraw the certificate of registration of the school with immediate effect.
One of the protesters lamented the attitude of the state government to security of lives of students.
The protesters demanded the arrest of the owners of the school, the security guards, the housekeepers and others who may be investigated.
They gave seven-day-ultimatum to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo, to address the logjam in the case.
Making reference to an incident that led to the fatal accident on Tuesday afternoon where a truck crushed some students to death at Ojodu area of the state, they described the tragedy as avoidable.
They said that the idea of chasing traffic offenders for violating the law was primitive.
The state government, they insisted, should do all within its reach to fish out those who have a case to answer in the matter.
