Over 50,000 Android phone users download eNaira App 24hours after take-off

Checks have shown that more than 50,000 Nigerian Android phone users have downloaded the eNaira application on the Google Play Store, 24 hours after being launched by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This came as the Central Bank of Nigeria says that transactions on eNaira platform would be free for 90 days. 
On the Google Play Store, the application is rated three stars out of the five stars obtainable.

The 8.89mb app has green as its dominant colour, with a mixture of white and black.

The Central Bank of Nigeria said that the version of the App, which is 1.0.0 may request access to take pictures and videos.

During the unveiling of the App, the CBN said, “eNaira Speed Wallet is a fast and convenient way to conduct financial transactions.

“Your money is guaranteed and secured with the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“Remote, online, or in-person transactions, paying and getting paid are as simple as a scan or a click.

“eNaira Speed Wallet is a fast and convenient way to conduct financial transactions.”

It was observed that the App allows people to make payments using only their verified user name.
