According to Adibi, prior to this time, the agency had warned the avertising practitioners and others stakeholders in the state to regularise their unapproved billboards by making payment or forfeit it to the agency.

The DG said OYSAA would clamp down on any advertising practitioners who fail to comply with the rules and regulations of the agency.

He said, “I want to admonish the advertising practitioners and others stakeholders in the state to fulfill their obligations to the state government by paying all outstanding debts and remit it to OYSAA office.

“Henceforth, no unauthorised billboard will be allowed to line our roads. They had better gone through the right channel and pay to the appropriate authority.”

Stating that it would no longer be business as usual as the exercise would be continuous in a bid to boost the state’s Internally Generated Revenue.
