The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force has disclosed that the state recorded another death occasioned by the virus on Tuesday.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Oyo State is now 28.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who doubles as the chairman, COVID-19 task force in the state said this came as the total number of discharged cases in Oyo reached 1,394.
He wrote on his verified Twitter handle, “Fifty-nine confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second negative test results and have been discharged.
“This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 1,394.
“Sadly, we had one COVID-19 related death in the state. So, the total number of deaths in Oyo State is 28.”
“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre or visit a community-based testing centre, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, fever, tiredness, body ache, loss of smell/taste and shortness of breath.
