The retired General Evangelist Worldwide, Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Samuel Abiara, has warned that the trouble in the country is a pointer to the fact that devil is at work to destroy destinies of the Nigerian youth via breakdown of law and order.
The clergyman said this on Friday, in a statement titled, ‘State of the nation,’ sent in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday.
The statement, expressing Pastor Abiara’s grief on the tragedy which befell the Nigerian youth who embarked on a peaceful rally nationwide, read, “What started on a peaceful note by the youth has taken an alarming dimension.
“I strongly implore the federal, state and local government councils to please grant the requests by the youth. It is highly condemnable that military force could be used on protesters resulting in death of many of our youth. I appeal to government to stop the use of force.
“Remember the issue at stake; use of force and brutality by the police sparked the protests. The international communities are watching. I beg the youth to give peace a chance by stopping their protests. I commiserate with the families of those who lost their lives during the military shoot out. I pray that their struggle will not be in vain. Those whose properties were lost to the protest, I pray that God will recover for them.
“The #EndSARS protesters should pave the way for dialogue and stop arson and wanton destruction of government and private properties. Nigerians at home and in Diasporas should know that it is the devil that is at work to destroy the destiny of the Nigerian youth by causing anarchy and threatening the unity of the country.
“We already have many satanic attacks such as Boko Haram, banditry, kidnapping, rape, cattle rustling, herdsmen’s killing and COVID-19 pandemic to mention just a few aside from corruption. The chaos and disaster are signs of end time. We should pray day and night. The solution is prayer.
“My advice is that the Federal Government should listen and address the yearnings of the youth. The youth, as leaders of tomorrow, should be called to a roundtable on way forward.”
