The clergyman, who doubles as the Presiding Bishop of the Sword of The Spirit Ministries, (SOTSM) stated that the importance of evangelism to the world could not be undermined for the salvation of souls of men and for the entrenchment of peace and love in a fast decaying world.

In a statement, which he personally signed, issued on Saturday, June 14, 2025, Bishop Wale Oke said that carrying out the divine mandate is a saving grace for humanity to escape the travail of hell and sin.

The statement read, “Beloved, first, I give thanks to God for your life, for your salvation, and for the word of the Lord that comes to you day by day. May the name of the Lord be glorified in your life for ever.

“Today, we have another glorious opportunity to declare the gospel of Christ to people in our communities as witnesses of Christ’s death and resurrection. THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD TO SAVE PEOPLE FROM SIN AND FROM HELL. We should preach it with boldness in the power of the Holy Spirit, and bring lost sinners back to Christ.

“Today, we should encourage and motivate one another to go out there where the people are, just as Christ our Lord commanded us.

“The Lord shall go with you as you go, His hand shall be with you as you go, many shall turn to Christ and be saved as you go, and you shall receive a reward from Christ as you go.

“Go therefore and preach the gospel of Christ today. It is well with you. Shalom!”
