As part of ongoing efforts to steer young Nigerians away from criminal activities, the Southwest zone of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) is set to hold a major anti-crime road walk across Lagos on Thursday, July 31.
Tagged “Unity Movement Against All Crimes in Southwest States,” the sensitisation walk aims to engage the public—especially youths—in discussions around crime prevention and community safety.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to promote positive values and discourage involvement in cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime, armed robbery, and other societal vices.
The walk will begin at 8 a.m. from the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja and move through key locations including Computer Village, Airport Road, Oshodi, Mushin Market, Ojuelegba, and CMS, before culminating at the Zone 2 Police Command headquarters.
The event will feature high-ranking police officials including the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2, AIG Fayoade Adegoke; Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Moshood Olohundare Jimoh; and POCACOV state chairman, Dr Moses Oladimeji.
The Southwest Zonal Chairman of POCACOV, Ambassador Samuel Eniola Adams, emphasised that the campaign is targeted at reorienting young minds away from crime and towards nation-building.
POCACOV is a national community policing initiative championed by the Inspector General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, to promote preventive strategies in tackling crime, with special attention to youth involvement and engagement.
