As part of activities marking the 2025 Children’s Day, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), an initiative of the Inspector General of Police, will host a special event in Lagos to celebrate the rights, potential and aspirations of Nigerian children.
The event, themed “For Every Child, Every Right,” is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Police College, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Organisers say the programme will feature a variety of engaging and educational activities including speeches, quizzes, debates, games, and other exciting segments designed to entertain and inspire children, while instilling values of peace, unity, and self-worth.
The event is open to selected schools on an invitation basis, with no entry fee required. It aims to create a platform for children to feel celebrated, informed, and empowered about their rights.
POCACOV, driven by the vision of the Inspector General of Police, remains committed to youth development, crime prevention, and nation-building through initiatives such as sensitisation campaigns, vocational training, interactive lectures, and recreational activities.
