The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan said on Friday that the institution would formally reopen for the conclusion of the first semester 2019/2020 academic activities on Monday.
The school was shut down alongside other educational institutions in the land following the global outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A statement signed by the Registrar of the school, Mrs Modupe Fawale, indicated that the resumption of students would be in phases.
According to the statement, the Higher National Diploma II and National Diploma II students in the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies and their counterparts in the Faculty of Environmental Studies will resume October 5.
The HND II students in the two faculties would have their revision exercises between October 5 and 9 while their examination would be conducted between October 12 and 23.
Revision for HND II and ND II students in the faculties of Engineering, Science and Financial Management Studies would hold between October 26 and 30 while their examination would run from November 2 and 13.
The statement further read, “For ND I and HND I students, their academic activities will commence on November 16 with revision for ND I and HND I students of the faculties of Business and Communication Studies and their counterparts in Environmental Studies which will end on November 20.
“Examination for HND I and ND I of FES and FBCS will hold between November 23 and December 4. From December 7 and 11, ND I and HND I in the faculties of Engineering, Science and Financial Studies will have their revision exercise with their examination holding between December 14 and 24.”
It directed all students to abide by the COVID-19 protocol saying defaulters would not be allowed to take part in the scheduled activities.
