The politician, who doubles as the Maye Balogun of Ibadanland, described the late traditional ruler as a pillar of wisdom, culture, and unity in Ibadanland.

The statement described Oba Adebimpe’s passing as an irreparable loss not only to Ibadanland but also to the Yoruba nation.

“Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe was a custodian of our rich cultural heritage, a man of peace, and a beacon of hope for many.

“His demise is a monumental loss to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him and benefiting from his wise counsel,” the statement read.

It expressed condolences to the family of the late Oba, the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the entire Ibadan traditional council.

It prayed for the repose of Oba Adebimpe’s soul and for God to grant his family, as well as the people of Ibadanland, the fortitude to bear the loss.

The statement also urged the people to honour the memory of Oba Adebimpe by  fostering unity and working collectively towards the continued development of Ibadanland.
