Sen. Alli laments Oyo North APC Women Leader’s passage

Senator representing Oyo South District at the National Assembly, Sharafadeen Alli, has lamented the passage of Princess Adebowale Adenike Atoyebi, the APC Women Leader in Oyo North District, describing the incident as a great loss to her family and the party.

Alli spoke in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, on Thursday in Ibadan, the state capital.

The deceased, daughter of the late Alamodu of Ago-Amodu, Oba Lawal Oyetola Adebowale, reportedly passed away in the early hours of Thursday.

The statement by Alli described the deceased as a
dedicated and selfless leader who worked tirelessly towards the development of Oyo State and Nigeria.

It read that “It is with heavy hearts that we received the news of the passing of Princess Adebowale Adenike Atoyebi, the APC Women Leader in Oyo North Senatorial District.

“Her demise is a great loss to our party and to the Nigerian political landscape.”

It read that she was a trailblazer for women in politics, a champion of the marginalised and beacon of hope for the people of Oyo North.

It added that the late Atoyebi’s legacy as a passionate and committed leader would live on, adding that she would be remembered for her unwavering commitment the party.

The statement further read, “As we mourn her passing, we take solace in the fact that she lived a life of service to humanity and made significant contributions to the growth and development of her community. “

Alli, in the said statement, extended condolences to the late Atoyebi’s family, friends, colleagues and the entire APC family in Oyo State, and prayed that God grants them the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the deceased eternal rest.
