AKINWALE ABOLUWADE
The representative of Oyo South District at the National Assembly, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has expressed sympathy with renowned gospel musician, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, on the fire outbreak that gutted his ‘Music House’ in Ibadan on Friday night.
The condolence message was contained in a statement issued by the senator’s Media Office and made available to journalists on Saturday in Ibadan.
The inferno, which destroyed parts of the iconic building, affected Fresh FM, Blast FM, and Tiwa-n-Tiwa—radio stations operating within the complex—causing extensive damage and disruptions.
Describing the incident as devastating and unfortunate, Senator Alli said the loss was not only Ayefele’s but also a blow to the Nigerian entertainment industry.
He noted that the Music House had become a symbol of pride for Oyo State and the nation at large, with immense contributions to music, broadcasting, and youth empowerment.
While sympathising with Ayefele and the staff of the affected stations, the lawmaker encouraged them to remain resilient, assuring that brighter days lay ahead.
Senator Alli prayed for God’s comfort upon Ayefele and expressed optimism that the Music House would recover from the setback and emerge stronger to continue its positive impact on society.
