Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, who was killed on Thursday by a mob over allegation of blasphemy, has been laid to rest.
Samuel was said to have apologised for allegedly making blasphemous statements about Prophet Muhammad before she was killed and set ablaze on school campus.
She was buried on Saturday at her hometown in Tunga Magajiya, Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
The villagers were in sorrow and tears as her remains were being buried.
She was buried around 6:30pm at the Christian cemetery in Tunga Magaiya.
Some protesting youths in Tunga Magaiya insisted that the Sokoto State Government should have been responsible for her burial, but her family went ahead to bury her.
