The Tabitha-Care Missions recently put smiles on the faces of over 500 women in attendance at its end of the year programme.
The Tabitha-Care Missions was established to care for and nurture humanity for reconciliation to God in accordance with the original intention of man.
Bola Thompson, who is the founder of the Mission, stated that the aim of the organization is “To live a life of sufficient knowledge and maintain solid relationship with God.
“We do this through service in the area of empowerment, pastoral counselling, psychosocial support, educational and vocational support to families.
“The women programme was a huge success with over 300 women in attendance. Some of the women were presented with awards for their exemplary roles and commitment to Tabitha-Care goals.
The women were charged to be hardworking, focused and knowing God intimately.
The theme of the NGO for year 2023, tagged, ‘The God of wonder’ is taken from the Holy Bible, Isaiah 9:6b, “and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, the everlasting King, the Prince of Peace.”
The children’s party, which started at 1:15am with opening prayers, worship and charge. During the sermon that was delivered on the occasion titled, ‘I will be trained,’ those in attendance were charged to love God and others the same way they love themselves.
Activities that marked the occasion included varieties of songs, Father Christmas show, shop for free, award of scholarship and serving of menu.
Awards ranging from N10,000 to N50,000 were given to 22 beneficiaries (secondary school students of examination class and university students) at the event.
Thompson, while expressing joy on the success so far recorded, said that “We are grateful for it all.
“The award came with cash. They all went home with food items and cash. They were equally fed with the word of God, titled, ‘The sheep and the goat.”
