Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation International magazine, has disclosed that the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, recently had a knee surgery in the United Kingdom.
Momodu said that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress would recover from the operation in due course.
Momodu wrote on his Instagram account, “Governors Rotimi Akeredolu and Kayode Fayemi jetted out of Lagos last night to visit former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who’s currently recuperating from a knee surgery in London.”
This, however, contradicts the statement by Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, who claimed that his principal was not hospitalised.
Rahman was quoted as saying, “He (Tinubu) is not in any hospital. He has no medical problem that would require hospitalization.”
“Yes, he is out of the country at the moment. He will be back shortly.”
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Muiz Banire and many other personalities had, at different times, paid a visit to the former Lagos State governor.
