Tope, one of the popular Yoruba gospel artists widely called Ajogbajesu twins, is dead.
A close associate who spoke under the condition of anonymity, said that the gospel musician had been hospitalized for some time before succumbing to death.
Tope and his brother came into limelight years ago on the record label of Gbenga Adewusi.
The duo, who were popular for their ‘tungba style’ of gospel music, had been off the music scene for a while.
Some people held that they stopped singing owing to Tope’s ill health.
He was said to have been sighted at a prayer mountain with one of his close relatives few days ago.
He was reported to have died in the early hours of Saturday.
