Mr Chike Akunyili, husband to late Dora Akunyili, ex-Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, has been reportedly killed by some armed assailants.
He was reportedly killed in the early hours of today (Wednesday).
It was gathered that he was shot dead while on his way to a memorial in honour of his late wife, Prof. Dora Akunyili.
A source close to the family, who preferred anonymity, was said to have confirmed the killing.
However, details of the incident could not be obtained at the time of filing this report.
His driver and orderly were also killed in the incident.
