Senator Sharafadeen Alli from Oyo South District has delivered a win for his party at his polling unit during the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election held on Saturday.
At Polling Unit 022, Ward 3, Oke-Aremo, where the lawmaker cast his vote, the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 49 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed with 31 votes.
Speaking after the exercise, Senator Alli expressed delight over the peaceful conduct of the election.
He lauded officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security operatives for ensuring a hitch-free process.
The senator further pledged his continued support for the APC’s success across Oyo State, noting that the result from his polling unit was a reflection of the trust and confidence the people have in the party.
