Senator Sharafadeen Alli from Oyo South District has congratulated the duo of Ambassador Yemi Farounbi and Ahmed Raji, SAN, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, describing them as men of honour in recognition of their contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria.
Alli’s statement was premised on the birth anniversaries of the two personalities.
Farounbi, a former Ambassador to the Philippines, turned 80, while Raji celebrated his 63rd birthday.
Senator Alli commended them for their immense contributions to national development and unwavering dedication to their respective fields.
He described their lives as an inspiration to many, praising their legacies of excellence, patriotism, and commitment to the betterment of society.
The lawmaker lauded Ambassador Farounbi’s diplomatic service, noting the indelible marks he has left on Nigeria’s international relations and media landscape.
Senator Alli noted ambassador’s dedication to promoting Nigeria’s image abroad and fostering peace, emphasising his lifetime of selfless service.
Similarly, the senator extolled Ahmed Raji, SAN, for his outstanding career in law, describing him as a legal luminary whose contributions have significantly impacted the Nigerian justice system.
He praised Raji’s professionalism, integrity, and commitment to upholding the rule of law, which have earned him widespread respect.
The lawmaker said that Raji contributed immensely to the development of Iseyin and the entire Oke Ogun.
Alli expressed hope that their future endeavours would continue to inspire and uplift the nation as he wished them more years in good health, happiness and continued success.
