AKINWALE ABOLUWADE
Oba Rafiu Ariwoola, Asigangan of Igangan, has commended Senator Sharafadeen Alli from Oyo South District for transforming the community with impactful projects, particularly the newly installed solar power facility at the Federal Science and Technical College, Igangan.

The monarch, who led community leaders and parents on a courtesy visit to the senator’s Ibadan residence on Wednesday, said Igangan had never enjoyed such quality representation.
“I came to appreciate Senator Alli for all he has done for our people,” Oba Ariwoola said. “Since I became king, no leader has matched his efforts. The solar power project has changed everything for our students.”
Executed by Casbern Global Services Limited, the project features 64 solar panels, 32 batteries and inverters, providing uninterrupted electricity for classrooms, laboratories and workshops.
The traditional ruler also disclosed that land had been allocated for a proposed community health centre, another project facilitated by the senator. “He has surpassed our expectations. We trusted many people in the past who did nothing,” the Asigangan said.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Secretary Isau Ayandele described the initiative as historic. “The last time we witnessed such development was during Senator Peter Adeyemo’s era. This is a joint appreciation for a senator who matches words with action,” he stated.
In his response, Senator Alli expressed gratitude for the recognition and promised to deliver more projects.
He reaffirmed his commitment to completing his one-per-ward borehole initiative and announced plans for an agricultural partnership with foreign investors to empower youths and support farmers.
“By God’s grace, we will do more. The 2025 budget will bring greater interventions,” he assured.
