The Oyo State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has urged Nigerians to renew their faith in the country and work together towards building a united, peaceful and prosperous nation.

Alli made the call in his Independence Day message issued on Thursday in Ibadan to mark Nigeria’s 66th anniversary, describing the occasion as a reminder of the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and citizens’ responsibility to sustain national development.
He called for support for President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, expressing optimism that responsible leadership, patriotism and collective action would help overcome the country’s challenges.
Alli also urged the people of Oyo State to support Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections, saying cooperation between the Federal Government and an APC-led state government would enhance development.
He said his ambition to govern Oyo State was driven by a commitment to inclusive and people-centred leadership.
The former senator pledged to prioritise education, security, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, youth empowerment and local government autonomy if elected.
He also called on APC members across the state’s 33 local government areas to unite behind the party’s candidates.
Alli congratulated Nigerians on the anniversary and prayed for lasting peace, security and prosperity in the country.
